Obsession -- It has a negative implication...

It's not fair, because digital media has been my obsession for more than a decade. I'm constantly learning, knowing something new is always around the corner that will change how news can and will be reported.

 

Lucky -- I was blessed with the opportunity to begin my career in news as a sports reporter for the daily newspaper in Orangeburg, S.C. when I was 15.

 

Evolved -- I saw the writing on the wall. I beat back my tendency to remain modest as I share that I learned to code a little, learned to shoot and edit video and became a student of social media not just to be a better reporter/editor.... to be the best.
